PTOC Summer Sprint Series Races Are All Team Fundraisers!
Possum Trot Orienteering Club has very generously decided to make all of the races in its Summer Sprint Series Team fundraisers. Thank you so much, PTOC!!
Standings Updated April 8th
Standings updated to include the results from the NEOC Doubleheader sprints at Needham Town Forest. If you've run or hosted a sprint that isn't in the standing, please submit your results!
Standings through March are posted!
Updated standings, which include results from the QOC A meet sprints and MNOC sprint on March 28th, have been posted.
Team Fundraisers Are 41% of All Sprints
So far, with 24 sprint days registered in the Sprint Series, 10 of them are designated as Team Fundraisers. We want to thank all of the clubs and groups, including WCOC; DVOA; TSN; Cascade OC; QOC; BAOC; Get Lost!! Running, Racing; and PNWOF, who have so graciously donated proceeds from their events to the Team!! Can't we get that percentage to at least 75%??
One month down!
January has come and gone, Phil has seen his shadow, and we're five sprints into the 2009 Series. The Standings have been updated with all the sprints so far. Stay tuned for an announcement about this year's Sprint Finals!
The First Results Are In
The results for the WCOC Sprints will be posted soon, but the initial leaders in the 2009 Sprint Series are Samantha Saeger and Ross Smith. Isn't that cute! But even better, these WCOC Sprints were Team Fundraisers and brought in $250 for the Team. Thanks WCOC!!
WCOC Sprints Upgraded to Team Fundraiser
WCOC has graciously agreed to make its sprints Team fundraisers, so the point value for these races has increased to the 20 point level. There will be a Team Donation envelope at the event, so please be generous.
First Sprints Added!
The first sprints of the year have been added to the calendar, so check them out! Also, until we can fix the old category designations, assume all sprints will give the last finisher 10 points, unless otherwise noted as a 20-point sprint.
Rules for 2009
The rules for the 2009 Sprint Series have been finalized and are posted under the "Rules" section...of course. Not too many changes except for, once again, in the scoring methodology.
