Vurderingsløp Tiomila (09-04-2014)

The big mystery of the day is why I didn't make 1 entirely a trail run. We may never know.

Tried to make safe choices, coming up the trail to approach two, down the stream to approach 4, etc. Clearly I need to work on straight up direction (see 3). I guess things went okay except for 5, where I did exactly what I wanted and then was mightily confused when the area in front of me looked nothing like what I was expecting. Had a look around, fought with my compass, and determined that I must be in the correct place, but it still looked funny (like a flat green area, not a lumpy hill shelf). Headed down and found the lumps and kicked myself a little for not trusting my original approach.

The rest was better except for insecurity heading into 11. Can't say this was particularly brilliantly executed but I did enjoy myself.
